On May 24, 2010 Narcotics Agents with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office conducted a narcotics investigation within the city limits of New Iberia. Congratulations to school counselor Sarah Habetz. The Louisiana Counselors Association recently named Habetz elementary school counselor of the year. She does double-duty serving as counselor at Mermentau and Estherwood elementary . She was nominated by Mermentau Principal Melvyn Smith who says Sarah Habetz is the "heart of his school." more »
