A new bell now sits a-top of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington.

The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington is moving forward, after the historic church burnt to the ground on January 14th. The exact cause of the fire hasn't been determined yet, but Father Albert Nunez said he believes the fire started from an old gas-powered heater in the attic.

St. Martin Parish "Food for Seniors" pickup has been changed from October 27 to October 20th. The time and the place of the pickup will remain the same. Food for Seniors is a branch of Catholic Charities. This affects Breaux Bridge, Arnaudville, Cecilia and Henderson, St. Martinville and Coteau Homes.
