Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal will formally announce his candidacy for re-election tonight. The event kicks off at 6:00pm and the public is invited to attend. The announcement will be made at the Gouguenheim on West Main Street in New Iberia. more »

There's one less candidate for Eunice Police Chief. Bart Thibodeaux withdrew after learning he couldn't run because he works for the U-S Immigration Division. He does plan on retiring soon... and said quote.. "Thanks again..God bless..See you in four." more »
