The Crowley Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a weekend shooting in the city.

The department says that officers responded to the 200 block of Westwood Drive after a vehicle was shot at multiple times. Two of the four passengers inside the vehicle were struck as a result of the gunfire.

Police say the victims of the shooting told investigators they allegedly knew the shooter and identified him as 29-year-old Traylon Lewis. Several other witnesses came forward during the investigation, according to police, and also identified Lewis as the shooter. Police say they were told by witnesses that Lewis was driving a dark gray Chrysler 300 and allegedly fired a gun from his vehicle.

Police say the patrol division apprehended Lewis within an hour of receiving a warrant for his arrest.

Lewis was arrested and booked on four counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder and is currently at the Acadia Parish Jail. Bond has been set at $200,000.
