Chef and television show host Anthony Bourdain was in Lafayette recently and ate at an unexpected location, numerous times.
According to Nola.eater, Bourdain took People magazine to the only remaining Popeyes buffet in the world -- in Lafayette. He was in town filming an episode of Parts Unknown focusing on Cajun cuisine which airs on CNN.
The chef told People magazine, "I was eating noodles and roast goose and Chinese food for the past 10 days. So to be back and eat some Americana food, well, I will weep with gratitude at macaroni and cheese."
The magazine says that Bourdain chowed down on mac and cheese, spicy fried chicken and biscuits and gravy.
Bourdain ate at the Lafayette Popeyes located on Pinhook Road three times in a row during his stay.
