With Summer ahead, local pools are beginning to hire

Posted: Updated:

With summer right around the corner, KATC's Abby Breidenbach is LIVE in New Iberia with a look at summer job opportunities at local pools.

While there won't be any swimming today, temperatures are a cool 46 degrees in Lafayette, there are still several opportunities for teens and young adults to get their summer jobs checked off their list.

KATC's Abby Breidenbach is at the New Iberia Parks and Rec learning more about these opportunities.

The pool in New Iberia opens up on June 6 and applications are being accepted for certified lifeguarding opportunities for teens and young adults.

Those applying for the job must be 15 years or older. Applicants must also be certified lifeguard to be accepted for the position. Those classes will be available to those interested at the New Iberia Parks and Rec website
