POSTPONED: LCG Household Hazardous Waste Day

Due to forecasted rain on Saturday, April 14, Lafayette Consolidated Government will post-pone the semi-annual Household Hazardous Waste Day (HHWD) originally scheduled for that day. The public will be notified of the rescheduled date once it is determined.


KATC's Kendria LaFleur is LIVE at the Cajundome this morning with a preview of this weekend's Household Hazardous Waste Day for Lafayette Parish.

LCG will hold its Semi-Annual Household Hazardous Waste Day event on Saturday, April 14 in Lafayette.

The event will be held from 8 am until 12 pm and accept items from residents of Lafayette and the unincorporated areas of the parish only.

Citizens can drop off their items at the Cajundome by entering on Reinhardt from Cajundome Blvd.

The event will be accepting household items for disposal including paints, poisons, household cleaners, and gasoline. Electronic items will also be accepted during the event. Those items include televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, and gaming devices. 

There is no cost to drop off items.
