Louisiana license plates raise awareness for Down Syndrome, funds for DSAA

Posted: Updated:

The Down Syndrome Association of Acadiana joined GMA to promote a brand new license plate created in support of the Down Syndrome Association and those living with Down Syndrome.

The plate can be purchased at any local Office of Motor Vehicles in Louisiana. Funds received from purchases of the license plates will go towards the association and for the promotion of awareness and acceptance of those with Down Syndrome.

The license plate does not have to be returned to the DMV and can be renewed every year with funds going to support the DSAA.

For more information visit the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles website or call the local OMV office.

World Down Syndrome Day was celebrated March 21.
