Wendy Rodrigue wife of late Louisiana artist George Rodrigue is traveling around Louisiana as part of her husband's Life and Legacy Tour.

Rodrigue who painted the famous Blue Dog piece, started the Rodrigue Foundation with his wife Wendy to provide art supplies for schools along with a statewide scholarship art contest. The foundation also helps garner a love for art along with supporting art within all curriculum at schools across the state.

Wendy Rodrigue is continuing her husband's legacy by traveling around Louisiana to show students original artwork from her private collection.

Wednesday, Wendy was at Ascension Episcopal School in Youngsville to share stories of her and her husband's careers and life in the art world.

"I think that it's important for students have an outlet to express themselves and I think that art in any form is a perfect way to do that," said AES senior Morgan Curtis.
