Arnaudville residents to meet Tuesday to discuss school board plans

Posted: Updated:

A group of Arnaudville residents is expressing concern with the St. Landry School Board's capital improvement plan.

The group says they want the school board to use funds to expand Arnaudville Elementary into a Kindergarten through 8th-grade school instead of building a consolidated Beau Chene Junior High.

Now, opponents of that plan will meet at the Arnaudville civic center Tuesday night to discuss their next move.

"The time to be quiet and sort of meek mannered has passed, we're never going to win on defense and that's what we keep operating from is this position of defense, and we need to go on the offense," says Arnaudville Elementary teacher Ory Hebert

The meeting will be held at the civic center Tuesday March 12, 2018 starting at 6:30 p.m.
