Tools for Schools: Eunice Elementary

Posted: Updated:

Our Tools for Schools team is back and in St. Landry Parish. KATC's Katie Lopez was there with the drop-off.

Answering questions in class is a vital part of learning in school but sometimes the answers can't be heard.  Ms. Ashley Bourque at Eunice Elementary requested something called Q-Balls.

With the help of KATC and Jim Olivier's Family Of Companies, we helped make that happen.

The Q-Balls Bourque says will get students up, moving, and actively engaged in their lessons, while making teaching a whole lot easier.

"We're getting something called a Q-Ball. It's a wireless amplification system. It's made of foam, so it can be thrown from kid to kid. I can hold it. I can ask a question. It's a microphone, so they can really hear me. When there's an amplification system, the kids pay better attention. With this one, there's an added bonus of it being really interactive, so I can ask a question. I can toss a ball to one of the students, and they can answer in the Q-Ball," says Bourque.
