Boil advisory lifted for Mamou

UPDATE: A boil advisory previously issued for some customers of the Mamou Water System has been rescinded.

The advisory was issued because of a broken water line. Affected roads were Second Street to Fourth Street and Main Street to Hackberry Street. 

The water is now safe for consumption.

    We have new information from the ambulance company that responded to a call about a tree falling on children in St. Landry Parish over the weekend. The family has said it was nearly an hour before anyone responded and they want answers. It happened on East South Street just before five in the evening.
