Baton Rouge -

A Lafayette woman was arrested this week, wanted by the LSU police department after they say she made her way into an LSU graduation ceremony in December of last year and left with another student's diploma.

Police say that 22-year old Bianca White was arrested Monday, March 5, 2018, four months after she allegedly managed to make her way into one of the LSU's graduation ceremonies on December 15 and steal another students diploma. During the incident, White allegedly walked across the stage and was involved in the entire ceremony. Police say White took the purple diploma cover along with another student's diploma.

White inserted a forged diploma into the stolen diploma cover giving the impression that she had received her degree from the university, according to police.

WBRZ reports that White was confronted by another person where she allegedly admitted to giving the real diploma to another person. White left the ceremony with the stolen cover and fake diploma.

White has since been released on a $700 bond.
