One person arrested following Kaplan shooting

One person has been arrested following a shooting in Kaplan Tuesday night. 

Kaplan Police Chief Boyd Adams says the shooting happened following an argument at around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

The suspect, 24-year-old Jamarcus Davis of Duson, reportedly shot at a home in the area of  1100 block of North Irving Street. No one was injured in the shooting but a neighboring home received bullet hole damage.

Police say that two warrants were obtained for Davis, one warrant is for illegal use of a firearm with a bond set at $200,000.00. The second warrant was issued for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies, bond is set at $50,000.00.

Mr. Jamarcus was arrested in the early morning hours of March 7, 2018, for both warrants and was booked into Kaplan Police Department Jail.
