LAFAYETTE, La. -

Registration is now open for sensory-friendly photo sessions with The Bunny at Acadiana Mall for families of children with special needs Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The Bunny welcomes children of all ages. This sensory-friendly event allows families with children within every spectrum of special needs to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit with the Easter Bunny, in a comforting environment prior to public hours. Accommodations are made to support the sensory, physical, and developmental needs of this special audience.

Bunny Cares is held in partnership with Autism Speaks, dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. They do this through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism, and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. They empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span. Visit AutismSpeaks.org to learn more.

Visits with The Bunny are free. Space is limited. Families can RSVP by visiting  www.AutismSpeaks.org/Bunny2018. Keepsake Easter photo packages will be available for purchase during the event.

Acadiana Mall Between Center Court and Main Entrance located at 5725 Johnston St. Lafayette, 70503.
