Capital One confirms three branches closed last year

Posted: Updated:

We've received several calls from viewers about recently closed Capital One branches here in Lafayette.

We've learned that there currently are no branches scheduled to close in the greater Acadiana area.

We reached out to the company's corporate office in New Orleans, and here's the response we received today:

Last year Capital One closed three branches in Lafayette Parish. We notified customers in July 2017 that the branches would be closing in November. This was a difficult decision and one that our Bank leaders did not take lightly. We recognize the effect it has on our customers and associates. As Capital One continues to evolve and optimize our branch network in response to changing customer preferences and to ensure we’re operating as efficiently and effectively as possible, decisions are made to open, renovate, and in some instances, close or relocate branches. We regularly review our entire network.

With any branch closure, we ensure customers are notified that there are no changes to their accounts or account numbers. We encourage them to visit the branch so that we may answer any questions and make the transition as smooth as possible. As always, they can visit any Capital One branch and receive the same level of account access and high quality service they’ve come to expect.

The company adds that three branches also closed in Calcasieu Parish last year.
