Krotz Springs Police Chief Susie Synder says they've investigated an alleged incident at Krotz Springs Elementary school and found there was "nothing to it".

We were sent a letter from a parent that was signed by Principal Ramica Robinson, addressing statements made by at least one child at recess.  The conflicting statements included that a man threatened to do bodily harm to the children, the man stated he knew where the children lived, the man stated he would give the children money, and the man didn't threaten us.  Both school and law enforcement officials say the comments were not substantiated, but they would still take all alleged threats seriously.

No one would elaborate further on exactly what happened, but the letter did go on to say officials "reiterated to the children that talking to strangers is not a good safety procedure."  The teachers on duty at recess have also been informed to monitor the area closer.

To reiterate, this incident was investigated and found to be not credible information.
