Front brings in cooler temperatures

Posted: Updated:

A quick moving cold front has kicked up showers and thunderstorms that will impact Tuesday morning's commute, but despite a blustery morning the end of day promises to be much quieter.

As the cooler air rushes in the chance for severe weather will diminish leaving just a few lingering showers around sunrise and even those will quickly move out of the area.

Behind the showers will be a cooler air mass that will dominate the forecast for the next several days and it will arrive under some blustery conditions, winds out of the north around 10-15 mph.

There should be enough sunshine Tuesday afternoon to lift temperatures in the upper 60s before the cool air really get settled in to the region, which will lead to a chilly night and a cooler day on Wednesday.

It'll be a quiet work week with no real issues to be worried about this week, temperatures will be warmer by the weekend when our next round of rain will arrive.
