Azalea Trail Classic Car Cruise and Seersucker Social Bike Ride to be held March 17

The Azalea Trail organizers will hold a kick-off event for the trail with a Classic Car Cruise and Bike Ride on March 17 to celebrate the trail and St. Patrick's Day.

Those with antique cars are asked to join the kick-off event by riding the trail. Two classic car clubs that will be participating in the ride. The ride will begin at the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Center at 2:00 pm. Sign up for the ride will begin at 1:30 pm. Refreshments will be served directly before the ride.

Riders will travel down 22 miles of the trail before ending in Downtown Lafayette. There will be a stop a the Mouton Plantation where riders can partake in an open house.

A Seersucker Social Bike Ride will also take place at 2:00 pm beginning at the Wurst Biergarten in Downtown Lafayette and traveling down the trail. There is a $5 fee to participate in the bike ride and sign-up will be held before the ride at 1:30. Riders are asked to wear their comfortable and vintage Louisiana best for the ride.
