Runners, joggers, and walkers hit the pavement Sunday for the 5th Annual Lafayette General Zydeco Marathon.
The race featured a half marathon of 13.1 miles and a marathon of 26.2 miles, or participants could share the full or the half with a relay.
John Hitter, of Layette, placed first in the marathon with the time 2:54.
Participants started on Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette and raced around the city before making their way back downtown for the finish. For a full look at the course, click here.
