Cajuns continue to set records with every game they play

Posted: Updated:

It seems like every game this season the Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team is breaking another record.

Thursday night against Arkansas State the Cajuns achieved a single season school record for regular season wins with (26) and Frank Bartley became the 47th Louisiana player all-time to reach the one-thousand point mark.

The Cajuns now at (14-0) with one game left at home this weekend also continued their best home start in school history with their win against the Red Wolves.

At (16-1) in the Sunbelt Conference, Louisiana will have a chance to add to its best ever Sunbelt record when the Cajuns take on Little Rock saturday night.

Frank Bartley, who's averaged 17.4 points per game this season is now the third Louisiana player to reach the thousand point mark this year. Bartley joins teammates Bryce Washington and Jonathan Stove.

But what makes Bartley's accomplishment that much more impressive is that while Washington and Stove reached their marks as four year starters, Bartley -- who transferred from BYU before the 2015 season, and had to sit out his first semester with UL -- accomplished his feat in just two-and-a-half seasons.
