Alternating road closures on U.S. 90 in St. Mary Parish

ST. MARY PARISH -

(PRESS RELEASE) The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that on Sunday, March 4, there will be alternating lane closures in the eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 90 on the Atchafalaya River Bridge, Bayou Ramous Bridge and Bayou Boeuf Bridge in St. Mary Parish for roadway maintenance.

This work is estimated to take place from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.

All permit and oversize loads along with emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass. There are no detours.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds motorists to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

DOTD apologizes for any inconvenience this necessary work may cause.

The family has said it was nearly an hour before anyone responded and they want answers. It happened on East South Street just before five in the evening.
