Front brings in cooler weather for the weekend

Posted: Updated:

Thursday will be a day of change from the warm, muggy air mass we've experienced this week to a more seasonally appropriate cool down by the time the weekend arrives.

A few scattered showers will be popping up through lunchtime Thursday which will announce the change in pattern as the front moves through across Acadiana.

After the front moves through, the skies will start to clear as it drags the clouds out of the region and the winds will freshen up coming in from the north around 10-15 mph.

Cooler and drier air will replace the warm and muggy air which sets the stage for what should be an incredibly enjoyable weekend with comfortable temperatures and sunshine.

After the weekend another front will move through this time providing a little more in the way of showers and storms so stay tuned for timing of that event.
