Lafayette Travel and Bayou Vermilion District to host Vermilion Voyage March 22-25

Lafayette Travel and Bayou Vermilion District will host Vermilion Voyage from Thursday, March 22 to Sunday, March 25 along the Vermilion River.

The voyage is a three-day overnight paddling and camping adventure that begins at the Acadiana Park Nature Station and travels along to Palmetto Island State Park. The trip is about 50 miles long and will take paddlers through three parishes. Entertainment will be provided for each night of the voyage.

The voyage will only be available for about 50 participants to take part. Registration is $300 per person and includes all the supplies needed to take the trip down the Vermilion River. For more information, click here.

The goal of the event is to get people out on the river and to appreciate the beauty and nature surrounding the Vermilion River.

The family has said it was nearly an hour before anyone responded and they want answers. It happened on East South Street just before five in the evening.
