Celtic Bayou Festival to celebrate Irish heritage March 16 &17

Celtic Bayou Festival will be held in Lafayette from Friday, March 16 until Saturday, March 17 at Warehouse 535 in Downtown Lafayette.

The festival kicks-off on Friday, March 16 at 6:00 pm with a Lenten Crawfish Boil and all things Irish. Organizers say that there will be plenty of Irish music, Irish dancing and, of course, Irish drink. Admission to the crawfish boil is $10 and tickets can be purchased online at celticbayoufestival.com

The Celtic Bayou Festival will officially begin at 11:45 at Warehouse 535 in Lafayette on Saturday, March 17. The date coincides with St. Patrick's Day. Festivities will continue early with a pub crawl that begins at 9:30 am. Family friendly entertainment will begin at Warehouse 535 and including events like an Irish Folklore puppet show, arts and crafts, and young musicians showcase along with a redhead contest and freckle competition. 

A Guiness Cook-off and a Bailey's Bake-off will round out the list of scheduled festival events.
