Accused Gremlin gang member arrested for December 2017 murder

A man that Eunice Police say is part of the Gremlins gang was arrested Tuesday for the December 23 murder of Tyree Frederick. 

Chief of Police Randy Fontenot says that Darron Carter was released last year on a reduced bond associated with racketeering out of Vermilion Parish. The case was allegedly associated with the Gremlin Gang. 

On February 26, 2018, St. Landry Parish District judge issued a warrant on Carter for first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder. 

Carter was located In Lafayette by officers with the Eunice Police Dept, Lafayette Police Dept, and Louisiana State Police. He was taken into custody without incident. 

Carter is currently being booked into the Lafayette Parish jail and will be transported for booking in the St Landry Parish Jail.
