Police: Stolen bus from Jennings found in Crowley with engine running

UPDATE: The stolen bus out of Jennings has been located.

Crowley Police Chief Jimmy Broussard says the department received a call from citizens who recognized the bus from an earlier social media post. The Jennings High School bus was located in 700 block of N. Avenue I in Crowley. No one was inside, however, the engine of the bus was running. There appears to be no damage, according to Broussard.

Jennings Police are en route to process the scene. 


The Jennings Police Department says that a school bus was stolen early this morning from Jennings High School in Jeff Davis Parish.

Police say that the bus was stolen from the school at around 3:30 am and was last seen on video surveillance heading North on Highway 102.  The bus is #301 and has a Louisiana Public License Plate number 248540.

The department is asking that anyone who has information on the stolen bus to contact the Jennings Police Department at 337-821-5513
