Suspects wanted in Ville Platte bed and breakfast burglary

Ville Platte police are asking for assistance in identifying burglary suspects who stole items from a bed and breakfast last week. 

According to police, on February 21, 2018, officers responded to a burglary on South Soileau Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspects had cleared out Cottage Bed and Breakfast of all of its contents. 

It was determined that the items were removed at around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018, through a window on the property. The suspects are believed to have worked through the early morning hours of Wednesday the 21st. 

The photo provided shows the vehicle the suspect used to leave the scene of the burglary. 

The following items are listed as stolen: 

An antique bed, couch, coffee table, antique end table, antique rug, tufted antique chairs, antique crystal lamps, 46" flat screen tv, Centurylink modem, AC Unit, mattress, box spring with vintage bedding, handmade tablecloth, microwave, espresso machine, cooktop, utensils, bathroom towels, linens, rug, and toiletries. 

Police say the suspects also caused property damage to the interior of the residence while removing items. 

Chief Neal Lartigue is asking for information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen items and if anyone can identify the truck in the picture, call the Ville Platte Police Department at 363-1313.  Callers will remain anonymous.
