A quick round of cool and dry air

Posted: Updated:

It has almost been a week since we've started talking about a particular front, and that front finally move through the area late Sunday night and Monday morning,

It will still be, however, a few days before we can stop talking about the front as it is expected to push northwards on Tuesday and we'll finally be rid of it by the end of the week.

In the meantime, Monday's forecast should be relatively pleasant with temperatures that get up to a comfortable 73 in the afternoon with a cool breeze bringing in dry air across Acadiana.

This quick cool down and dry out will be short-lived as that same stubborn front will move north on Tuesday dragging in another warm and muggy air mass and potentially sparking a few showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday.

There is a cooldown and clear out in sight, though, with the next front moving in on Thursday and hopefully paving the way for a beautiful weekend.
