The Franklin Police Department has arrested two teenagers in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Friday, February 19 at a business located on Iberia Street in the city.

Officers say they responded to the armed robbery at around 10 pm and learned that two male subjects had entered the business, armed with weapons, and demanded money from employees. Police say that officers searched the area and were unable to locate the two suspects.

After an investigation, two persons of interests were developed in the case. Detectives say that during the investigation they were able to recover the weapons used during the robbery and the clothes and masks that the suspects wore during the incident.

Police arrested 18-year-old Dequellin Antoine and 17-year-old Laquandrae Poledore both of Franklin in connection with the armed robbery. Police learned that Antoine was also connected to a separate armed robbery that occurred on January 29 on Martin Luther King Boulevard. Antoine, according to police, was allegedly also involved in several vehicle burglaries reported in the Eastwood area of Franklin on December 30 and 31.

Antoine was charged with illegal possession of stolen things, simple burglary of a vehicle (6 counts), and armed robbery (2 counts). Poledore has been charged with armed robbery. No bond has been set for the two.
