The Tangipahoa Parish School System released the following statement about another situation:

"Overnight there was something circulating on social media concerning a threat to possibly one of our schools. We have been in touch with Sheriff Daniel Edwards and his staff. We were informed that a social media threat to Ponchatoula High has been investigated and found that no credible evidence exists. As a precaution, a search of the school was conducted last night with nothing being found. Extra law enforcement from TPSO as well as our local police departments will be visible today and throughout the week as a precaution at all of our high schools."
