Vermilion deputies search for suspect wanted for failure to appear

The Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office is searching for a man wanted for failure to appear for sentencing. 

Deputies say that 23-year-old Jermaine Devon Guidry is wanted for failure to appear for sentencing on the charges of two counts of assault by drive-by shooting, aggravated assault with a firearm, and attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Officials say that Guidry may be operating two separate vehicles, a 2008 Black in color Nissan Altima, with the license plate number LA 897BEO and/or a 2009 Silver in color Pontiac G6 with the license plate number LA ZKP171.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Jermaine Devon Guidry, please contact the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-893-0871 or Criminal Investigations Division at 337-898-4403.  

The suspect is entered into NCIC.
