Many people in Iberia Parish spent Mardi Gras parade hopping from Grand Marais to Loreauville.

From four wheelers to limousines, the Grand Marais parade was a festive mix, and for many in Iberia Parish it was just the start to a day of parades.

"This is my second one and we're about to go to one in Loreauville and we're about to go catch some more beads that's why we brought about ten bags, we love love love Mardi Gras," says Ahmad Malahmeh who we found in Loreauville.

In Loureauville the parade brought the whole town to the main street.

"It's a bunch of beads and candy and teddy bears and floats," says Karissa Lacoste.

In Loreauville Mardi Gras is about more than just beads.

"We have a good time, everybody likes each other, everybody gets along...community," says Greg Chastant from Loreauville.

They say there is something else the town looks forward to at Mardi Gras.

"Favorite thing about mardi gras is partying with my friends," says Perry Judice from Loreauville.

"Partying, it's a good tradition, we enjoy throwing beads and having a good time," says Chastant.
