Louisiana Wraps Up Peach State Swing At Georgia Southern

• Springfield, Ga., native JaKeenan Gant is the only Division I player in the country currently averaging 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and shooting over 60 percent from the floor.
• Louisiana has won 20 or more games in four of the past five seasons.
• Louisiana is one of five schools nationally (as of Feb. 8) that have won seven or more games on the road and are undefeated at home. The Ragin’ Cajuns are joined by Virginia, St. Mary’s, Montana and UC Santa Barbara.
• Senior Bryce Washington became the fourth player in both Ragin’ Cajuns and Sun Belt Conference history to record 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. The senior grabbed six boards at Georgia State to increase his career total to 1,000.
• Under Bob Marlin, Louisiana is 51-18 overall in games played in February.
• Thursday’s loss at Georgia State was the Ragin’ Cajuns first SBC road loss since a 74-70 setback at Georgia Southern on Feb. 6, 2017 - a span of eight games

• Bryce Washington is fourth among active Division I players in total rebounds (1,000), tied for seventh in career double-doubles (34), 27th in rebound average (7.9), 37th in career field goal percentage (.572) and tied for 35th in games played (126).
• Marcus Stroman’s 15 assists against Georgia State on Thursday were tied for the fifth-most in a single-game this season. The 15 assists were the most by a Ragin’ Cajun since Aaron Mitchell dished out 15 against Chattanooga on Jan. 2, 1990.
• Louisiana’s five-game road win streak that was snapped was tied for the second-longest in school history and equaled its longest since Feb. 11-March 14, 2984
• Senior Johnathan Stove enters today’s game 25 points shy of reaching the 1,000-point mark.
• Washington is one of five Division I players to average a double-double during the past two seasons joining Angel Delgado (Seton Hall), Bonzie Colson (Notre Dame), Alize Johnson (Missouri State) and James Thompson IV (Eastern Michigan).

• Georgia Southern lost at home for the second time in its past three games, falling to ULM on overtime on Thursday, 66-64.
• The Eagles, who are 7-2 at home this season, defeated UTA in their previous home game after a 62-61 loss to Texas State on Jan. 25.
• Tookie Brown, fifth in the SBC in scoring, leads Georgia Southern with an 18.5 points per game average. Mike Hughes and Ike Smith average 11.4 points each for the Eagles, who are fifth in the SBC in scoring offense (75.4).
• Montae Glenn, who averages 9.0 points, is third overall in the SBC with 8.4 rebounds per game.

• Louisiana returns home for its lone games in the Cajundome in the month of February beginning on Thursday (Feb. 15) against Texas State at 7:15 p.m. The Ragin’ Cajuns will close out the homestand on Saturday against UTA in a 7 p.m. contest that will be carried on ESPN3.
