Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy spoke on the Senate floor today where he argued for additional flood relief funds for those affected by the 2016 floods.

Cassidy wants the Senate to repeal a rule, which prevents recipients of Small Business Association loans from getting grants from the Restore

Senator Cassidy says similar rules were repealed after disasters in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.

"There are roughly 82,000 homeowners who could potentially be eligible to receive relief from repealing or altering this duplication of benefits rule," said Cassidy.
