Report: Mutant all-female crawfish reproduces through self-cloning

An all-female mutant crawfish species is invading Europe and part of Madagascar.

The six-inch-long marbled crayfish is one of the most interesting species known to science, according to a report released on Monday.

 A single marbled crayfish can produce hundreds of eggs at a time. And without mating. The all-female crustacean species reproduce through self-cloning, stated in the report.
