Vigil held Tuesday for students killed in Sunday night crash

Posted: Updated:

A vigil honoring two students killed in a Sunday night crash was held Tuesday night at North Vermilion High School.

The principal and students at North Vermilion say the community is a family and they are handling this tragedy as a family.

At 8:00 p.m the community gathered for a student-organized, candlelight vigil. They honored the lives of Sydney Colomb and Alana Duhon who died Sunday. Read more on that incident here.

The community also prayed for the healing of the two boys who were in that car, now identified as Creed Rudd and Darius Davis.

The vigil was open to the public at North Vermilion High's gym.

Funeral arrangements for both can be found here. KATC's Abby Breidenbach was live for a portion of the vigil Tuesday night. That video is below.
