This morning, KATC spoke with Congressman Clay Higgins about last week's release of the GOP House Intelligence Committee memo.

That document was released on Friday, Feb. 2, and was approved to go out to the public by President Donald Trump. It covers alleged improper activity by the FBI during the 2016 presidential campaign. Read that story here.

"Officers and agents of the DOJ and FBI are incredibly courageous and patriotic men and women. They would not condone this sort of behavior. But, at the highest levels, this apparently happened and there is some house cleaning needed to be done, and further investigations needed to move forward," Higgins said in an interview.

The House Intelligence Committee has agreed, unanimously, Monday afternoon to release a rebuttal to the memo from Democrats.
