The Greater Southwest Louisiana Mardi Gras Association will celebrate the 25th annual Le Festival de Mardi Gras a Lafayette beginning Friday, February 8 until Mardi Gras Day, Tuesday, February 12 at UL Lafayette Cajun Field.

The festival will mark its 25th year with carnival games and rides, food, and a line-up of live entertainment. Lafayette parades will pass through the festival grounds as they end their trek through Lafayette.

Organizers say viewing spots for the parade will be available for all Lafayette parades on festival grounds. Entertainment will be family friendly and the festival will run special savings on Friday, Sunday, and Monday for those who purchase tickets online at GoMardiGras.com by February 7.

19 bands will perform on the festival's live stage. Performances will be announced via the festival's Lafayette Mardi Gras app and Facebook. Those who use the app can also track the parades as they make their way through the city towards the fairgrounds.

Admission to the festival grounds is free, but there will be a $10 charge for parking. For more information about the festival visit, GoMardiGras.com or the Le Festival Facebook page.
