LAFAYETTE -

One organization is observing Arbor Day by adding some greenery to Lafayette.

On Saturday, TreesAcadiana planted dozens of trees and shrubs at Graham Brown Memorial Park in Lafayette next to the walking path and dog park.

"Our vision is to encourage people in Lafayette to plant trees and to maintain the trees that they have, and to appreciate all the things, not just the shade, but all the ecosystem services that trees provide as well," said Heather Warner-Finley with Trees Acadiana.
