Five arrested in connection with human trafficking, prostitution in Sulphur

Five people have been arrested in connection with possible human trafficking at Sulphur motels. 

On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, officers with the Louisiana Ag's office, Homeland Security, and Sulphur Police conducted a joint investigation into suspected human trafficking and prostitution in Sulphur after receiving several complaints. 

Using "Backpage.com", a site for classified advertising, undercover officers identified individuals allegedly seeking pay for sexual favors involving not only adult women but a sixteen-year-old girl. Five arrests were made as a result of this sting. 

The following people were arrested and booked into the Sulphur City Jail. 

 28-year-old Robert Christopher Miller of Westlake was arrested for solicitation for prostitution, human trafficking of children for sexual purposes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

31-year-old Christopher Damian of Lake Charles was arrested for possession with intent to distribute CDS schedule II drugs.

32-year-old Terry Stevens of Lake Charles was arrested on solicitation for prostitution, human trafficking of children for sexual purposes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

51-year-old Douglas Lynch of Hollister, NC was arrested on solicitation for prostitution.

40-year-old Bryan Lavar Sias of Rayne was arrested for solicitation for prostitution, human trafficking of children for sexual purposes, computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

An investigation is ongoing.
