Lafayette Police investigating attempted robbery at convenience store

Lafayette Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store in the city. 

The incident, according to police, occurred at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018, in the 300 block of Verot School Road. 

Officials say that three black males entered the business with firearms and demanded money. The suspects fled the scene before any money was taken. Police believe the suspect fired a weapon into the air as they left the area. 

No one was injured during the attempted robbery. No more information was given on the suspects.
