Monday night, Kolder, Champagne, Slaven & Company CPAs presented the annual audit report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017 to the City of  Youngsville’s Mayor & City Council.

Utility, sales tax, and sports complex revenues increased while overall expenses decreased.

“What we are seeing is evidence of improved efficiencies in our daily operations," said Mayor Ken Ritter.

Brad Kolder, one of the CPAs presenting the report, noted that maintenance and repair costs went down "dramatically."

Burton Kolder, another CPA, said sales tax revenues increased 11.2%, which he described as phenomenal in a down economy.

“We are very pleased with what we; one of the best years in quite a while, probably the best year ever for the City of Youngsville. You should
be commended and it starts with the leadership,” Burton Kolder told the mayor and council.

In the report, the auditors noted that no significant deficiencies or weaknesses in their review of the city's finances.
