One last quiet day

Posted: Updated:

The weather will be incredibly quiet on Thursday and the sun will be out for one last day before the clouds begin to roll in on Friday, followed eventually by the showers and storms.

Sunshine will help a little with the temperatures although a cold morning will be difficult to overcome and by the afternoon our highs will be hovering right around normal.

Winds will open up from the south later Thursday and drive in some warmer, moister air from the Gulf of Mexico which will help bring in the clouds and feed the showers and storms this weekend.

A few showers will pop up on Friday night but the majority of the activity will hold off until Saturday when we may see 1-2" worth of rain with a few hot spots that may be higher.

Not anticipating any flooding or severe weather this weekend but as always we'll be keeping an eye on everything.
