Two suspects wanted for separate crimes have been arrested by Iberia Parish Deputies.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the first man 28-year-old Kenneth "Yogi" Gauthier was wanted on two counts of attempted second-degree murder on January 7, 2018, shooting near Anderson and Shot Street. Gauthier is believed to have been shooting at a vehicle with an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle when he hit the driver of a vehicle and a nearby pedestrian.

Gauthier was located at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Anderson Street. Police say he fled the area on foot but was later apprehended.

While serving the warrant for Gauthier's arrest, investigators located 24-year-old Dwayne Butler who was wanted for armed robbery.

Police say that  Butler has been identified as the suspect who robbed a New Iberia convenience store with a handgun on January 11, 2018.  Both Gauthier and Butler have been booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
