Toastmasters Clubs in Acadiana to hold open houses

The Evangeline Toastmasters Club, Cajun Toastmasters Club, and Lafayette Toastmasters Club will each host their own open house events in Lafayette beginning next week. The meetings are open to the public. Individuals interested in attending should be 18 years or older. 

Toastmasters, according to club members, is a leader in communications and leadership skills around the world. The Clubs in Lafayette meet weekly to give speeches, critique and build confidence for those working on their communication skills. Toastmasters also helps with creating and strengthening leadership skills.

The open houses will be held on January 23rd at 7:00 pm at the Lite Center (Evangeline Toastmasters Club), January 23rd at 11:30 am at CGI (Cajun Toastmasters Club), and on January 25th at 7:30 pm at The Olive Garden in Lafayette (Lafayette Toastmasters Club)

    A woman was found bound in Lake Charles today, the victim of a kidnapping. Police say they already have a suspect in custody.
