MLK Day Program - West End Park M.L.K Center 1200 Field St, New Iberia, LA 70560- Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. Guests Speaker: Pastor Raymond Bailey From New Orleans. The Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Committee of Lafayette has set the following activities and programs for Saturday, January 13, 2018,  Musical Extravaganza 1:00 p.m. Martin Luther King Youth Pageant 4:00 p.m. Martin Luther King Center, 309 Cora Street,  Lafayette.

'We Cry Glory' MLK Jr Celebration in Kaplan. Saturday, January 13 at 7:30 am clean up MLK Drive. Monday, January 15 luncheon at 10:30 to noon. MLK march departing from Kaplan Police Dept. at 1 pm en route to MLK Drive ending at New Beginnings Primitive Baptist Church. The program immediately following march at the church. Sunday, January 14

The Martin Luther King, Jr annual parade in Lafayette is scheduled for Sunday, January 14, 2018, at 3:00 pm.The parade will start at the Martin Luther King Center located at 309 Cora Street and process down MLKing Memorial Parkway (Willow Street), and conclude at the Clifton Chenier Center/Church of Philadelphia.  Parade Marshal:  Dr. Raphael Baranco. Individuals or groups desiring to participate in the parade are requested to contact Robert Benoit at 337-291-8704.

Sunday, January 14

The City of Eunice commemorated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with an all day-celebration, starting with a prayer breakfast at the New Zion Baptist Church gymnasium at 9 a.m. Festivities continued with a parade at 2 p.m. and the Dr. MILK City-Wide Celebration 2018 at 3 p.m., featuring Eunice's Michael Victorian as the keynote speaker.

Flag Raising/Opening Activities  8:30 a.m.,  Community Luncheon Program    11:30 a.m., Recognition of Holiday Event Sponsors, Medical/Health Screenings,  Voter Registration,  Display Booths/Exhibits, Evening Commemorative Program     6:00 p.m. Featured Speaker: Honorable Representative Cedric Richmond United States Congressman - 2nd District Chairman, Congressional Black Caucus. Martin Luther King Center, 309 Cora Street, Lafayette.

New Iberia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta's Martin Luther King Annual Prayer Breakfast will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, from 9 am -12 pm at St. Edward's Cafeteria in New Iberia. If you are in need of any additional information contact 337-319-5654.

34th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March starts in the Loreauville Park at 10 am to Our Lady Of Victory Church in Loreauville. The program starts right after the march. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration Sponsored by Iberia Parish Chapter NAACP and New Iberia Recreation Department West End Park - Martin Luther King Recreation Center 1200 Field Street, New Iberia, LA 70560 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, Theme: The Children are Our Future  Guest Speaker: Mr. Charles Gravins, Esq.  The community is invited to attend and participate in this special event. Refreshments will be served.

Patterson Civic Organization's 2018 Annual MLK Celebration will be held 9:30 am on Monday, January 15 at the St. Luke Baptist Church in Patterson. Rev. Keith Verret Sr., officiating. This year's theme is "Community: The Art of Coming Together!" Guest Speaker will be Honorable Arlanda Williams, MPA, Councilwoman Terrebonne Parish Government and owner of Rosemary's Soul Food Kitchen. A march and parade of church vans will immediately follow the service to Cherry St. Park. Churches across St. Mary Parish are asked to enter its church van as a sign of unity in the community. 

Monday, January 15

Abbeville will host an MLK Day parade at 11 a.m.  The parade will start at A. A. Comeaux Park and will follow the same route as the Christmas parade.  The parade will end at the Comeaux Recreation Center, where a program will take place immediately after the parade.
