Baton Rouge - It's official, Steve Ensminger is LSU's next offensive coordinator. The Tigers made the anticipated promotion official Wednesday.

Ensminger replaces Matt Canada who coached just one season at LSU. Canada's departure became official last week after a rocky season.

Ensminger last served as a full-time offensive coordinator during a brief stint at Clemson (1997-98.) He served as an interim offensive coordinator after Les Miles and Cam Cameron (OC) were fired in 2016. In LSU's 6 wins under Orgeron last season, the Ensminger coached offense averaged 41-points a game, and set several team records. In loses, it's averaged 5-points a game.

Ensminger was hired by Les Miles in 2010, he spent 2017 as the team's offensive coordinator.
