New Iberia Bayou Mardi Gras Association to hold parade this weekend

Posted: Updated:

The Bayou Mardi Gras Association Mardi Gras parade in New Iberia will be held this weekend on Saturday, January 13th at 6:00 pm.

The parade will kick-off the Mardi Gras season for the Acadiana area.

The parade starts at Anne Street and Main Street and will travel down the length of Main Street to Bouligny Plaza, taking a right by Epiphany Church. The parade will cross the Bayou Teche and continue on its way to City Park.

The main portion of the parade will be centered on Downtown New Iberia and parade organizers ask that revelers come out and stay late for all the festivities.

Former Governor Kathleen Blanco will be the Grand Marshal for this year's parade.
