Update: According to WBRZ, authorities in East Baton Rouge Parish have identified and located the juvenile allegedly seen tossing two small dogs into the street by a leash in a video that went viral earlier this week.

The juvenile suspect's name has not been released and deputies say they have submitted his name to juvenile court for the case to proceed.

A video showing a young man throwing two dogs tied to leashes has circulated on the web, prompting deputies in East Baton Rouge Parish to look into the incident.

Believed to have been filmed in East Baton Rouge Parish this weekend, deputies went out to the scene to canvass the area Monday afternoon. Upon investigation, the two dogs shown in the video being thrown by the man were found near an apartment complex that matched the video location. The two dogs, deputies say, are now with their owners and were given a clean bill of health.

The video, which was shared with KATC, shows the young man walking the two dogs. While on their leashes the man begins to swing the dogs into the air, letting them go and tossing them into the street. The dogs' cries can be heard in the video as they hit the ground.

EBRSO deputies are now working with Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office to identify the person involved in the incident and to bring charges against him.

Commenters of the video originally believed the video to have been recorded in Iberville Parish but were found to actually be recorded in East Baton Rouge Parish.
